MPL-2.0 build tooling

The following packages are licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0:

  • lightningcss (1.32.0)
  • lightningcss-linux-x64-gnu, lightningcss-linux-x64-musl, and the sibling platform binaries (darwin-arm64, darwin-x64, linux-arm64-gnu, linux-arm64-musl, linux-arm-gnueabihf, freebsd-x64, win32-x64-msvc, win32-arm64-msvc, android-arm64)

They enter the tree transitively via vite, @tailwindcss/node / @tailwindcss/vite, @tanstack/start-plugin-core, and the Lovable Vite preset. They run only at build time on developer and CI machines, are never bundled into the browser payload, and TMarky does not modify their source.

MPL-2.0 is a file-level copyleft: the obligation to publish source and keep the file MPL-licensed is triggered only when a covered file is modified. Because TMarky uses these packages unmodified and does not distribute them as part of its own product, no MPL-2.0 obligation attaches to TMarky's source code.

Rule for future contributors: if you ever patch a file inside a lightningcss* package (a local fork, a patch-package diff, or a vendored copy), the modified file must remain MPL-2.0 and the modified source must be made available. Prefer opening an upstream pull request or picking a permissively licensed alternative instead of vendoring a patch.

Open Font License (OFL-1.1)

@fontsource/fraunces and @fontsource/hanken-grotesk are distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Fonts are used as-is with the reserved font names preserved and are self-hosted, so loading them sends no request to a third-party font CDN.

Public-domain and data licences

isbot is listed as Unlicense, which is a public-domain dedication — not an unlicensed package. It reaches TMarky through TanStack Router, which uses it for bot detection during server-side rendering, and it carries no attribution or notice obligation. caniuse-lite (CC-BY-4.0) is a browser-support data table used only at build time, and its attribution requirement is satisfied by this page. tslib (0BSD) and argparse (Python-2.0) are permissive with optional attribution.

Policy and reporting

New dependencies are checked against a permissive-only allow-list in continuous integration, so a non-permissive package cannot be merged without an explicit, documented exception. Questions about attribution or licensing can be sent to security@absrts.com.
